Here, you’ll find access to an array of services including appearance assistance; counseling; support groups for patients and caregivers; educational programs; stress management; expressive therapies; survivorship guidance and a space dedicated to spiritual reflection. Meet Our Team

Kelly Huggins, MSW, LCSW
Program Development and Operations Manager

Kelly earned her Master of Social Work Degree from Aurora University, certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from Notre Dame University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In her role, Kelly oversees and manages the business and operational aspects of Waterford Place. Kelly’s previous experience includes Support and Education Programs Manager at Wellness House and Director of Buddy’s Place for Pillars. She is a member of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society and the Association of Oncology Social Workers.

Michelle Zepeda, MPH
Program Coordinator

Michelle holds a Master in Public Health from DePaul University. Michelle has experience in working in various professional roles developing and facilitating programming for all ages and is bilingual in Spanish and English. As the Program Coordinator for Waterford Place, Michelle utilizes her skills to help design and implement programming that will assist participants through their cancer journey.

Omar Ramos
Program and Administrative Support Coordinator

Omar earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Robert Morris College. Omar has 25 years of experience working for Rush Copley and most recently as the Financial Counseling Coordinator. Omar is bilingual in Spanish and English an in his role as the Program and Administrative Support Coordinator, Omar provides programmatic and administrative support to all areas of the center.

Program and Administrative Support Coordinator

Erica has 13 years of experience providing administrative support in various medical settings and is bilingual in Spanish and English. In her role as the Program and Administrative Support Coordinator, Erica will be providing programmatic and administrative support for our evening programming.

Thelma Razo
Social Work Intern

Thelma is completing her Advanced Level Internship through the Master of Social Work Program at Aurora University. Thelma provides psychosocial oncology support to all participants including providing programming specifically to our Spanish-speaking population.
