Health Talks is a series of free community health programs on a variety of topics designed to help empower you to improve your well being. Respected Rush experts will share insights and tips for healthy living. Attendance is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required.
Cognitive health—the ability to clearly think, learn, and remember—is an important part of overall health and well-being. Raj C. Shah, M.D., Associate Professor, Family Medicine and Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, will share the latest findings in maintaining cognitive health as you age and discuss five lifestyle choices that have the most evidence for supporting brain health. Rush Copley’s Manager of Neuroscience Services, Deborah Brunelle, RN, MSN, CNRN, SCRN, will discuss how to maintain a healthy brain by using internal and external methods to retrain and retain memory, and will challenge your brain with some fun activities and challenging trivia. Refreshments and mindful raffle prizes at the event.
