You can now save a trip to the doctor's office by connecting to a Rush Copley Medical Group provider using your smartphone or computer. Our online diagnosis and treatment system can get your family the care they need for many common conditions, without ever leaving your home.
E-Visits are available for Rush Copley Medical Group patients if they meet the following criteria:
- Are between three months and 11 years old (up to their 12th birthday) and 18 years and older
- Had a visit with a provider at Rush Copley Medical Group in the last three years
- Have an active MyChart account.
Just follow the steps below to get started:
- Log on to MyChart. If you haven’t signed up for MyChart, free access to your online health record, Sign up now.
- Once in MyChart, click on the “Start an E-Visit” under Quick Links.
- Fill out a secure online questionnaire including several questions, depending on the condition.
- Within two hours of your request, you’ll receive a MyChart message with a diagnosis and treatment plan created by a Rush Copley Medical Group provider. This plan will include any needed prescriptions, which Rush Copley Medical Group will send to your pharmacy of choice to be filled.
Please note: if your request is made after our hours of operation, you will receive a response the next business day.

E-Visits are available during the following hours:

Saturday and Sunday:
8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
*Holidays include New Year’s Eve and Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Day.
Rush Copley Medical Group does not bill insurance for e-visits. Your credit, debit or health savings account (HSA) card will be charged $30 after you receive your diagnosis.
If we need to see you before we can diagnose your condition, we’ll help you schedule an in-person appointment, and you will not be charged for the e-visit.

Who can request an e-visit?

How do I request an e-visit?
To request an e-visit, log in to MyChart. (Sign up for MyChart
if you haven’t yet.) Once you have logged into MyChart, begin an e-visit by selecting ‘Start an E-Visit’ under Quicklinks.
If you don’t see ‘Start an E-Visit’ under Quicklinks, that means it isn’t available to you. For now, it’s available to those between three months and 11 years up (up to their 12th birthday) and 18 and older who have visited a Rush Copley Medical Group physician within the last three years.
Can I share my account with my spouse?
No. To ensure your privacy and safety, each person must have a separate MyChart account.
Who reviews my e-visit questionnaire and creates my treatment plan?
All questionnaires are reviewed by Rush Copley Medical Group providers — physicians or nurse practitioners. The name of the provider who reviews yours will be listed on your diagnosis and treatment plan.
Will I be treated by my regular primary care physician?
We want to help you as quickly as possible, and your regular primary care physician isn't always available at the moment you need care, so we can't guarantee that they will treat you.
But you'll always be treated by a Rush Copley Medical Group provider. And they will always share your diagnosis and treatment plan with your regular primary care physician to make sure all your care is coordinated.
Can I get prescription medications through e-visits?
Yes. Your provider can prescribe any medications you need and send the prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choice.
What conditions can be treated through e-visits?
For adults conditions include: Back pain, Cough, Diarrhea, Fatigue, Heartburn, Headache, Red Eye, Sinus Problems, Urinary Problems and Vaginal Discharge/Irritation.
For children conditions include: Constipation, Cough, Diaper Rash, Diarrhea, Red Eye, Head Lice, Rash.
We’re working on adding additional conditions. For now, if you need treatment for a condition other than these, you can make an appointment with a physician at Rush Copley or visit one of our Rush Convenient Care Centers.
Do I need to use a camera or video?
You never need to use video. For some conditions, we may want to see a picture to help us understand what’s going on. If needed, you can upload pictures from your mobile device or computer.

MyChart works best with these Internet browsers:

E-Visits are available through MyChart. MyChart is owned and operated by Epic Systems Corporations and is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. Your name and email address will be treated with the same care and privacy given to your health records and will never be sold or leased.
Are e-visits secure?
We take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames and passwords. You control your own password, and your account cannot be accessed without that password. Further, MyChart uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to automatically encrypt your session with MyChart. Unlike conventional email, all MyChart messaging is done while you are securely logged on.
