Alexander F. Pope, CFRE
Vice President, Foundation and Chief Development Officer
Alexander F. Pope, CFRE, brings more than 20 years of experience as a development officer to Rush Copley. Alex previously served as executive development officer, operations at Advocate Charitable Foundation, the fundraising arm of Advocate Health Care. With a diverse background in major gift work, Alex also has expertise in volunteer board management, direct marketing, workforce giving, special events, planned giving and advancement services. Alex has worked at the national level for associations and organizations including the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Earthwatch Institute, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Alex has served on the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chicago Chapter, Board of Directors since 2007, including as president in 2010. He is an accomplished educator and speaker on fundraising and volunteer leadership. Alex is a graduate of Northern Illinois University. He resides in Naperville with his wife and four children.
Development Officer - Grants and Research
Maryll Moon is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) who raised grants and donations for national environmental and advocacy organizations in Washington, D.C. before joining Rush Copley Foundation in 2010. As director of small development departments at the Center for Health, Environment and Justice and the Izaak Walton League of America, she was responsible for raising $1,000,000 annually for the past 20 years. A native of Aurora, Maryll received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Harvard University. Her professional memberships include the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Grant Professionals Association, and the West Suburban Philanthropic Network.
Development Officer - Operations
Responsible for fundraising operations from data management to event planning at Rush Copley Foundation, Chris Weincek brings a diverse background to her position. Prior to joining the Foundation’s staff in 2010, she supported the Family Medicine Residency and was responsible for research necessary to qualify for NCQA PPC-PCMH. Before that, she served as Director of Northwest Community Hospital’s Wellness Center for eight years, where she directed the facility’s planning, administration, marketing and staff development. A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chris’s skills and friendly personality are a natural fit with Rush Copley’s donor relations activities.
