Family Medicine Faculty
The Rush Copley Family Medicine Residency Program is in search of a part-to-full time, board-certified family medicine faculty member to join our unopposed (4-4-4), fully accredited ACGME family medicine program affiliated with Rush University.
Our program is housed at Rush Copley Medical Center, a 210-bed community hospital located in Aurora, Illinois. Based on employee survey, Rush Copley has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Chicago Tribune for the past five consecutive years. We are located 40 miles west of Chicago and are surrounded by excellent suburbs including Naperville, which ranked 7th in 2017 by USA Today as a top city to live in America.
Our Family Medicine Center emphasizes education and team based care in partnership with our patients. Our learners are diverse in experience and background; we teach residents, medical students, pharmacy students and pre-professional students. Our multidisciplinary care team includes a psychologist and an ambulatory care pharmacist. We serve diverse patients, with a strong focus on our local Medicaid population.
We seek a candidate with strong interpersonal, teaching and inpatient/outpatient skills. Faculty inpatient call averages one week every 4.5 weeks with the residents. Previous academic experience and Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required. The position offers work-life balance, excellent academic ties and opportunities for curriculum development in the faculty’s area of interest.
