Our Nursing Community

Cheryl Hollmier, RNAt Rush Copley, we are dedicated to our patients’ effective and safe treatment and excellence in the care we provide. We are committed to having a positive impact on others. This is what drives us to listen to patients, stay abreast of current practices, and maintain healthy working relationships.

Having solid structures and processes in place that create an innovative environment where strong professional practice flourishes and the mission, vision and values of the organization come to life, allows Rush Copley to achieve exemplary outcomes reflective of our quality care. This also allows us to create and foster positive partnerships across the organization and in the community to promote a positive image of nursing.

Nurses are actively engaged in defining their practice and creating an environment that is dynamic, innovative and responsive to change. Rush Copley’s administration recognizes nurses as the key to excellent patient care. They welcome nurses, throughout the hospital, to raise their voices to inspire change. Each voice is a voice of leadership. Each voice is valued. Nurses are empowered with the tools and opportunities to advance their education and career, which makes each voice even more credible. They appreciate the flexibility to maintain balance at home and in the workplace, which supports excellent performance. Nurses at all levels can act as leaders by using their voice to improve patient care—and this leads to successes that benefit every patient, each other, and the hospital.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Hollmier, BSN, R.N., CMSRN
