Rush Copley to Host Stroke Survivor Day
(Aurora, Ill) Rush Copley is pleased to host Stroke Survivors Day on Saturday, October 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora. This free special event, hosted by Rush-Copley’s Stroke and Rehabilitation Team, is for stroke survivors, their families or caregivers and anyone who wants to learn more about stroke.
Physician speakers and topics will include:
- 9:15 to 9:35 a.m. - Dr. Sam Rest will discuss the causes and management of depression after stroke.
- 10:05 to 10:25 a.m. - Dr. Dennis Keane will discuss the delayed effects of stroke.
- 10:35 to 10:55 a.m. - Dr. Dennis Keane will discuss the science behind stroke and exercise.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit with a variety of vendors, participate in health screenings and enter a raffle for prizes. Light refreshments will be served.
