Rush-Copley Awarded an “A” for Patient Safety

Hospital Safety Score A

Rush-Copley was honored with an “A” Hospital Safety ScoreSM by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The Hospital Safety ScoreSM was calculated under the guidance of The Leapfrog Group’s Blue Ribbon Expert Panel using publicly available data on patient injuries, medical and medication errors, and infections. U.S. hospitals were assigned an “A, B, C, D, or F” for their safety.

Rush-Copley, a quality leader among Chicagoland area hospitals, exceeds national benchmarks for many quality and safety measures.  In addition, Rush-Copley holds more accreditations and disease specific certifications than any other area hospital and has earned disease-specific certifications from the Joint Commission in maternal/fetal medicine and newborn care; stroke care and total joint replacement.
