Rush-Copley Receives Approval for Yorkville Facility
New Healthcare Center to Bring Needed Services to the Community
Aurora, IL – Rush-Copley Medical Center today received approval for expansion of its Yorkville facility, Rush-Copley Healthcare Center, from the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board (IHFPB). The approval of the Certificate of Need came from the IHFPB in Chicago.
The $23 million project will result in increased access to much needed healthcare services for
Yorkville and its surrounding communities. The center will be located along the south side of Veteran’s Parkway (Route 34) just west of the Kendall County Government Center. Rush-Copley Healthcare Center will include ambulatory care services, including urgent care and occupational health and diagnostic services including CT, general radiology, ultrasound, mammography, bone densitometry and MRI. The plan also includes physician offices to be comprised of primary care, OB and other specialties like oncology. A conference center for community health programming is also part of the project.
“We are excited to move forward and make this project a reality,” said Barry C. Finn, president and CEO of Rush-Copley. “As Yorkville grows, we are proud to strengthen our partnership by providing increased and improved access to needed medical services in this community.”
Rush-Copley plans to break ground on the center next month. Completion of the facility is expected in early 2008.
