National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course

The National Safety Council and Rush-Copley Medical Center invite motorists over age 50 to attend a two-day course on driver safety.  Join Illinois State Trooper DeAnn Falat, trained instructor, to learn defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, rules of the road and how to save money on your auto insurance.  Course materials and refreshments are provided.

Fasting Blood Sugar Screenings

The Diabetes Education Center at Rush-Copley Heart and Vascular Institute is offering FREE fasting blood sugar screenings to the community on a first come, first served basis.  Screenings take place on the third Friday of every month at Kendall County Senior Services located at the Beecher Community Center in Yorkville.

Please be sure to FAST for at least 8 hours prior to the test.  No registration is necessary, walk-ins are welcome.  For more information, please call Senior Services Associates, Inc. at 630-553-5777.

Lunch and Learn at the Beecher Community Center

Rush-Copley physicians and healthcare professionals will conduct talks on health issues that affect seniors.  The talks are part of the Kendall County Senior Services “Wellness is a Way of Life” program series and will be held during the Senior Meal Program at the Beecher Community Center in Yorkville.
