The clinic provides a coordinated team approach to work in partnership with your physician throughout the course of a patient’s treatment.

What is the Advanced Illness Support Clinic?

The clinic is a valuable outpatient resource for patients and offers supportive care from specialists trained to provide medical intervention through all phases of illness. Treatment focuses on comfort, maintaining or improving daily function by reducing and controlling symptoms, as well as counseling and support services to assist with difficult medical decisions.

Located within Rush-Copley’s Cancer Care Center, physicians may refer patients directly to the clinic or, patients and families may ask their physician, nurse, social worker or caregiver for more information or if the Advanced Illness Support Clinic may be an option for them. Will insurance cover these services?

Most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, typically cover all or part of these services. If costs are a concern, please contact us to verify if
your insurance plan is accepted or ask to speak with a social worker.
