Dr. Patel's Speaking Engagements
Dr. Patel not only teaches sports medicine to family medicine residents, but is honored to receive invitations to present information about sports medicine topics to other physicians. The following is a list of some of his speaking engagements.
2010
The 2010 American College of Sports Medicine's 57th Annual Meeting and Inaugural
World Congress on Exercise is Medicine™
Dr. Patel was selected to be a
panelist (discussant) during the General Medical, Clinical Case Slide
presentation. The annual meeting took place this June in Baltimore Maryland.
The 2010 American Academy of Family Physicians Scientific Assembly
The AAFP's Scientific Assembly is
one of the largest gatherings of primary care providers in the country with
4,500 medical professionals in attendance on average. The AAFP selects
presenters who have exceptional expertise in the field to provide continuing
medical education to family physicians and other medical
professionals. The 2010 Annual Scientific Assembly of the American Academy
of Family Physicians was held September 14-17 in Orlando Florida.
Dr. Patel presented four sessions
on two different topics:

"Imaging Modalities for
Musculoskeletal System: MSK Imaging, What to Order, When."
University of Michigan
Dr. Patel presents as Guest Faculty
at the University of Michigan’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) course on
"Sports Medicine for the Primary Care Physician." This is
an annual course for physicians. Due to his excellent reviews, he has
been repeatedly invited to present at this conference over the past several
years.
