Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA)
Chris Dvorak, PTA
Chris Dvorak, PTA earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology before going on to the PTA program at College of DuPage to pursue work in the field of Physical Therapy. He is a highly dedicated and analytical healthcare professional who is invaluable to the results-driven environment at Atlas PT. His strong interpersonal skills and easy going personality helps earn the trust of his patients, and adds fun to the rehabilitation setting.
Chris was first a patient at Atlas, and then a student during clinicals, before he joined the team in June 2009. A former athlete, and former employee of Rush-Copley Healthplex, Chris has dedicated his chosen professional career to providing the best care possible to his patients, and recently completed continuing education studies in evidence-based treatment of repetitive stress injuries.
Nicole Hewitt, PTA
Nicole Hewitt, PTA is a 2006 graduate of the College of DuPage Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She has completed specialized coursework in soft tissue techniques, kinesiology, treatment modalities, and therapeutic exercise. Nicole also has an Associate of Science Degree in Biology, and is an accomplished Certified Personal Trainer. Her extensive experience in exercise gives her additional expertise in the outpatient orthopedic clinical setting.
Nicole is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, and maintains membership with the American Physical Therapy Association. She has continued with post-graduate education in orthopedic physical therapy, and is a dedicated professional that strives to provide every patient with the highest levels of attention and quality care.
Danielle White, PTA
Danielle first earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science before completing the PTA program at College of DuPage to pursue work in the Physical Therapy setting. She has continued studies in Kinesiology as well as therapeutic exercise and modalities, and is Atlas PT’s senior therapist in development of the highly regarded aquatic therapy program.
A skilled and accomplished softball player, Danielle worked as a personal instructor for All-American Softball and enjoyed helping athletes develop advanced skills and achieve peak performance. Danielle is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a dedicated professional that strives to provide every patient with excellent physical therapy care.
Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC)
Pat Roscoe, ATC
Pat Roscoe, ATC graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree and emphasis in Athletic Training. He is an alum of Yorkville High School, and attended Waubonsee Community College before finishing at NIU. His prior work experience included retail, sales, material handling, and food services and is now pursuing his dream of work in the athletic training profession.
Pat works for Atlas PT as the head athletic trainer for Plano High School, and also assists the therapy staff in the clinical setting. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and has completed extensive continuing education and studies in sports medicine and rehabilitation. Pat’s relaxed personality and commitment to providing quality care makes him an invaluable member of the team at Atlas PT.
John Strasky III, ATC
John earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Northern Illinois University. He is skilled in all areas of preventative care, evaluation, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of sports related injuries and has extensive experience in personal training and weight lifting. John works for Atlas PT as the head athletic trainer for Yorkville High School.
John worked as a Doctor’s assistant before joining the team at Atlas Physical Therapy in October 2009. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and has completed extensive continuing education and studies in sports medicine and rehabilitation, and is one of Atlas PT’s instructors in Sports Performance Enhancement Training programs that helps athletes achieve their potential.
