Flu Shots
Seasonal Flu
An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to reduce the chances that you will get seasonal flu and lessen the chance that you will spread it to others. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices which advises the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends annual flu shots for everyone age 6 months and older.
The seasonal flu vaccine for both adults and children is now available in our offices for our established patients. This vaccine includes protection against three flu viruses, an H3N2 virus, an influenza B virus and the H1N1 virus.
Pregnant Patients
The flu shot is recommended for our pregnant patients. It is safe for both you and your baby. If you are pregnant, please discuss getting your flu shot with your doctor. Find out more information about pregnancy and the flu shot from the CDC.
