Pete Christakos, P.T


Pete Christakos, P.T. joined the Atlas Physical Therapy team in June 2010 after graduating with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL.  Prior to PT school, Pete earned his Bachelor’s degree in biology from Western Illinois University, where he was an All Conference track and cross country runner.

Pete completed an outpatient orthopedic internship with Atlas PT with a focus in manual therapy and sports medicine.  His other internships included rotations at the VA Hospital inpatient unit, and at Great Lakes Naval Base.  He completed a research project that evaluated foot mechanics of collegiate distance runners, and is currently pursuing publication for a pediatric physical therapy research study.  Pete has developed expertise in treating a variety of musculoskeletal diagnoses, and is pursuing certification as an orthopedic clinical specialist.
