Medications During Pregnancy
It is always best to avoid any medication during pregnancy. Medication that is prescribed should be taken on a risk versus benefit ratio. This means that the benefit of the drug should clearly outweigh any potential risk to the baby. At this time, these medications are considered safe for the following conditions.

Before 14 weeks: Afrin nasal spray (use no more than three days)
After 14 weeks: Sudafed, Chlortrimeton, Tylenol Sinus, Benadryl
Cough Medicine
Robitussin (Plain), avoid cough medicine with the ingredient dextromethorphan
Nausea
Emetrol
Vitamin B6 (25 mg every eight hours)
Diarrhea
Kaopectate
Kaocon
Immodium A-D
Hemorroid Preparations
Anusol plain cream or Anusol H.C.
