When you experience two luxurious pools and over 30 classes per week, you’ll understand why the Rush-Copley Healthplex Aquatics program has won national awards for outstanding programming and service. From our high intensity classes, H2O Combo, Master Swim and Zumba to Pilates and Yoga in the pool, there’s a class for anyone looking for an exhilarating workout. In the warm water therapy pool, the classes can relieve arthritis pain and increase joint mobility. The refreshing lap pool helps those who have multiple sclerosis increase muscle control. Of our 30+ classes, many are medically-based and included with your membership.  Our certified staff, wide variety of classes and beautiful pools offer a refreshing experience for people of all ages.

Aquatic Group Exercise

The Healthplex offers Aquatic Group Exercise classes for members in the Lap Pool and Therapy Pool (warm water).

Specialty Group Exercise

Jump in for a total body workout with our Wet Walkers or Master Swim classes; or, if you're looking for soothing therapy, try our Arthritis Plus class in the warm therapy pool or Healing Aquatic Movement in the refreshing lap pool.  There are over 30 aquatic classes offered weekly and all classes are free for Healthplex members.  Non-members may participate in Adult Specialty Classes for a fee.

Lifeguard Training Course
This course will train you to become a certified lifeguard.  American Red Cross has the most recognized aquatic certification.

Junior Lifeguard Training Course
American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding is designed to guide youth to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. Participants are not required to master or perfectly execute skills. They should learn techniques and build stamina during this program. The Junior Lifeguarding course does not certify participants in first aid, CPR or AED or as a lifeguard. Learn More

Class Information

Learn to Swim Lessons

Adult Beginner

Adult Beginner Swim Class is for anyone 13 or older with little or no experience in the water. Class will focus on becoming comfortable in the water and learning the basics of front crawl and backstroke swimming. Registration required.

Adult Advanced Beginner

The adult advanced beginner class is for anyone 13 years or older who have some  experience with swimming. The class will learn to coordinate the front crawl with rotary breathing and back crawl strokes. Students will also learn the elementary backstroke and how to tread water. Registration required.

Monday and Wednesday
3-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday
3-5 p.m.

3-5 p.m.,  6:30-8:30 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday
1:30-5:30 p.m.

Members may bring their Non-Member children or grandchildren under 18 years of age for $5.00 per child.  Members may bring in other children for a Member Guest Fee of $15 per child. Parents of children who are Members may attend Family Swim for a Member Guest Fee of $15 per adult.  Sign-in and waivers are required for all children.
