Pilates
Bring Your Body Into Balance.
Experience one of the fastest growing exercise methods in the world.
Pilates improves your core strength and stability, while providing better posture and flexibility, no matter what your age or mobility. It’s a great way to enhance the connection of mind, body and spirit.
A certified and highly experienced Healthplex instructor will teach you the six principles of Joseph Pilate’s innovative and effective method: centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing and flow. You’ll even learn how to reduce stress, just as in meditation. Starting with an assessment of your needs, you can work through the basic, intermediate and advanced levels, or find a comfortable level that gives you the tools you need to improve yourself.
In addition to Group Pilates Instruction, The Healthplex offers one-on-one Private Instruction or in smaller groups of two or three, which will help you focus on your own technique, accelerate your learning and allow you to customize your routine for your own particular needs.
Group Classes, Private and Semi-Private Instruction (groups of 2 or 3) are available to Healthplex members only.
Pilates Reformers
For a more rigorous workout, you can challenge yourself on our Pilates Reformer equipment, which offers more resistance and support than exercising on a mat. With one-on-one private instruction in a separate studio, you can achieve life-changing results, safely and effectively.

Pauline Lee-Tan
Pauline first began incorporating Pilates into her post-pregnancy workout routine 8 years ago and loved it from the beginning. Pilates helped her regain strength in her core and taught her how to connect her mind and body. She loved how the workouts were challenging, yet she left the studio feeling relaxed and a little "taller." Pauline loves how Pilates provides a safe way to engage in strength training and encourages the development of longer and leaner muscles. She seeks to teach her students the principles of Pilates, so that they may incorporate the long-term benefits of them into everyday life. Her goal is to ensure that everyone can experience the benefits of Pilates, by modifying exercises and customizing workout plans during her group mat and private and semi-private reformer sessions.
Incorporating Pilates into her own exercise routine, which includes triathlon training, has allowed Pauline to build on her strength and mobility to stay injury free. She is confident that Pilates will allow her to continue to pursue fitness goals she never imagined she could ever achieve for many years to come.
Pauline is Pilates trained through Balanced Body University and is a Pilates Method of Alliance Member.
