Thank you to the many friends and colleagues who supported MoonDance and, more importantly, Rush-Copley’s Movement Disorders Program
Movement Disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, often impair many aspects of motion and mobility. However, the condition’s impact on emotions may have the greatest effect on one’s quality of life. For this reason, the comprehensive programming and services we offer our patients provide an invaluable source of friendship, self-confidence, purpose and peace of mind. Thanks to the camaraderie and knowledge these patients gain from each other, they also know they are not alone.
The Movement Disorders Program at Rush-Copley exists because of philanthropy. With no cost for services, the Program relies solely on contributions from caring and grateful individuals that value all it has become and all it promises to be. The proceeds from the MoonDance event totaled $106,000, which exceeded the target by more than 25%! Thanks to this event, and other generous gifts made recently, we now have in place a $1.2 million dollar endowment fund. The earnings from this endowment fund will guarantee that resources are available in perpetuity for this outstanding program.
We are honored and humbled to be able to provide these services to our Community.
Please again accept my deepest gratitude for helping to make this event and the Movement Disorders Program possible.
