Patient Education

Partners in Recovery
If you will be having surgery at Rush-Copley Medical Center for Total Hip Replacement or Total Knee Replacement, this 1½-hour class is for you.
Partners in Recovery offers you information on preparing for your surgery and knowing what to expect from your experience at Rush-Copley.
You will meet members of the professional team that will be caring for you, see any medical equipment that will be used, and learn what to expect during your hospital stay. There will be plenty of time to address any other concerns you may have as well.
We believe part of excellent care is involving the patient and family in their own treatment. You are the most important member of your health care team.
Partners in Recovery is held the first and third Thursday of each month depending on patient need. It is best to attend this class at least one week prior to your scheduled surgery date.
To register for this free class, please call 630-978-6260.
The Golden Horizons Stroke Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The Club is open to recovering stroke patients, their family members and caregivers. This 90 minute meeting regularly invites presenters and speakers who help teach patients how to adapt to life after a stroke. The group offers support in structured and educational environment.
