When Seconds Count, You Can Count On Us

No one expects a medical emergency. When it happens to you, only the best possible care will do for you and your family.

Rush-Copley Emergency Services is a designated Level II Trauma Center. This designation means that physicians, operating room staff and laboratory services are available to you 24 hours a day, every day. Serving the greater Fox Valley area, Rush-Copley Emergency Services treats nearly 70,000 people each year.

Express Care in Aurora

To ease waiting times and treat less serious conditions with greater efficiency, Express Care is offered from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily and 2 a.m. on select days.  After being assessed by a triage nurse, you or a loved one may be directed to Express Care located in a special area of Rush-Copley's Emergency Department.

Express Care is staffed full-time by a family practice physician and a pediatrician from 1 p.m. to midnight each day.  There’s no need to suffer with a sore throat, backache or stomach pain when your physician is unavailable.

In addition, the Emergency Department has been carefully designed to heighten comfort, decrease wait times and increase service. For example, you can track your place in an on-screen cue to gauge how quickly you will be seen.  And, unlike most EDs, where rooms are equipped for specific needs, the equipment comes to you, which lessens the chance that you’ll ever have to wait for an available room.  Enhanced security and a private consultation area deliver added comfort.
