Home Health Care

The Cancer Care Center staff coordinate Rush-Copley home health care services for patients needing extended intravenous (IV) therapy, assistance with medications, and general nursing care. An on-site social worker is also available. We can also provide assistance with hospice care.

Nutritional Consultation

Rush-Copley dietitians hold advanced qualifications and are prepared to offer advice reflecting the latest nutrition research as it relates to cancer. Patients receive advice on keeping overall nutrition at its best, eating several small meals a day to combat loss of appetite, proper fluid intake and dealing with side effects from some cancer treatments such as sore mouth and throat, nausea/vomiting and changes in taste and smell.

Spiritual Care

Our chaplains have a special interest in the needs of cancer patients. They are available to listen, connect the patient and family with outside ministry, and serve individual needs.

Physical Rehabilitation

Cancer Care patients participate in Rush-Copley's extensive rehabilitation services, when needed, to achieve their physical potential.

Support Groups

The "Living with Cancer" support group is available to help patients and their families discuss feelings and needs. This group meets twice a month at Rush-Copley's main campus. For more information about the group, please call the Rush-Copley Physician Referral and Information Service at 866-4COPLEY (1-866-426-7539)

Look Good... Feel Better®

A free program that teaches beauty techniques to women who are actively undergoing cancer treatment, to help them combat the appearance-related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Patients enjoy the opportunity to spend time in a relaxed, non-medical setting with others in the same situation. And the free make-up and instruction from professionals helps them look and feel better. Look Good... Feel Better® is offered through a partnership of the American Cancer Society; the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation; and the National Cosmetology Association. Call 866-4COPLEY (1-866-426-7539) to register. Click here for upcoming classes.
