Courtyard Gardens

Rush-Copley Foundation is pleased to announce an Honor Program to celebrate the new 20,000 square foot Courtyard Gardens located on the campus of the medical center. Landscape design work by Mundy Landscaping began in late summer 2008 on this beautiful and distinctive space. The perennial garden to create texture and a color paletter was designed and installed in May 2009 by noted plantsman, Roy Diblik, of Northwind Perennial Farm.

Honor gifts are a distinctive way for you to acknowledge, consider, celebrate an important event, express sympathy and respect, or simply acknowledge family members or friends on the occasion of anniversaries or birthdays.

Donors will be recognized with a personal letter to the Honoree or the Family who has lost a loved one. In addition, a Gifts to the Courtyard Gardens book will be created an each donor's name will be recorded in this permanent record.

Rush-Copley Foundation inspires philanthropic support to serve the needs of Rush-Copley Medical Center. Your gift to the Couryard Gardens Honor Program will allow us to enhance and maintain this distinctive landscaped environment for patients and visitors to experience and enjoy.

We have several opportunities for you to choose from to honor or remember a loved one ... dedicate a tree, a garden bench or chair, or engrave a brick, or a garden stone to express your honor and respect.

Honor Bricks

8.25" x 13" Brussels Brick: $500

16" x 16" Umbriano Garden Stone: $1,500

These commemorative bricks and stones are elegantly arranged in the Honor Walkway of the garden. Each brick or stone will become part of the mosaic that will make this walkway unique.

The Foundation will use the Unilock® Engraved Paver Program to have the name of the person or family being honored laser-engraved into the brick or stone. Bricks will be installed once a year. Each brick or stone will come with a commemorative paperweight replica.

Philanthropic gifts to the Courtyard Gardens Honor Program support the Foundation's mission to serve the needs of Rush-Copley Medical Center and the patients receiving care.

Honor Trees

$2,500 -- Main Landscape Tree off the Courtyard Gardens -- 16 trees are available

Your selection of an existing tree in the Courtyard Gardens to honor a loved one is a lasting acknowledgement. Each Honor Tree comes with a certificate.

The name of the person being honored is engraved on a label and placed on a stake located near the tree. Honor Trees will be guaranteed for up to five years from the time of dedication. The facilities director will maintain the trees. If the site requires renovation and the tree needs to be moved or the tree becomes unhealthy, the donor will be notified and the Foundation will replace it with an equivalent tree.

Honor Benches and Chairs

$3,000 -- Benches
$2,500 -- Chairs

Visitors to the Gardens can enjoy the physical beauty of the space while resting on a special bench or chair. Benches and chairs will complement the garden setting. Each bench or chair will come with a certificate.

The name of the person being honored is engraved on a label and affixed to the bench or chair. Benches and chairs will be guaranteed for up to ten years from the time of dedication. If the bench or chair is moved or removed due to site renovation or landscape needs, the donor will be notified. The benches and chairs will receive routine maintenance and care.
