Executive Director
Barbara Graham is an organization and business development professional who has a diverse background in healthcare, insurance, government, technology, art, and wellness. She has worked in the public sector for the State of Illinois in the area of biotechnology and was District Director in the office of Illinois Congressman Harris W. Fawell (Ret.) Barbara's experience in the non-profit sector began as Chief Development Officer of The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens in Jacksonville Florida. Most recently, she was Director of Development and Marketing for Wellness House in Hinsdale, Illinois. She has received her MBA from Benedictine University, is a member of the Board of Directors for the Suburban Chicago Planned Giving Council, and has been recognized as one of the "100 Women Making a Difference in Illinois."

Terri Horton-O'Connell

Major Gifts/Grants Officer
Terri Horton-O’Connell comes to Rush-Copley Foundation with more than 19 years of not-for-profit experience. Early in her career, Terri worked for the Association for Individual Development in Aurora, in which she provided direct services and case management support to persons diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities. She then dedicated her time to statewide mental health advocacy initiatives as well as designing and administering professional development training programs during positions held at both the Mental Health Association in Illinois (MHAI) and the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Mental Health Services Research Program (UIC/MHSRP). More recently, Terri was responsible for directing CASA of DuPage County, Inc., a child advocacy organization and spent the past two and a half years as the Manager of Grants and Development Operations for the Central DuPage Health Foundation. Terri is a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals and the West Suburban Philanthropic Network. She received both her BSW and MSW degrees from Aurora University.

Curt McReynolds, M.S.
Annual Giving & Special Events Officer
Curt McReynolds comes to Rush-Copley Foundation with a diverse background in fundraising and special event planning. Curt began his career working as the Assistant Athletic Director at Auburn University Montgomery. While at A.U.M., he directed the Athletic Department Golf Tournament and Hall of Fame Ceremonies, as well as, managed the Athletic Department Booster Club & Annual Giving Operations. Most recently, Curt worked as the Director of Marketing Operations at the Campanelli YMCA in Schaumburg, Illinois. While in the non-for-profit sector with the YMCA, Curt served as the Marketing co-chairperson for the Illinois YMCA Neighborhood Alliance. He managed Corporate Membership Plans, and guided marketing initiatives with Activate America, America on the Move, and Healthy Kid’s Day programs aimed at addressing the growing nation-wide epidemic of childhood obesity. Curt is a national member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Grand Lodge of Illinois Masonic Fraternity. Curt holds both his Bachelor’s Degree of Arts (Business Communication), and his Masters’ Degree of Science (Physical Education & Management) from Western Illinois University.

Nancy VanVolkenburg, MBA/MIS
Donor Relations Coordinator
Nancy VanVolkenburg brings over 20 years of I.T. experience to her role as Donor Relations Coordinator. Early in her career, Nancy worked for the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Chicago, Illinois in which she provided support to the Financial and Billing Departments within the agency. Moving on to Waste Management and Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers, Nancy became more integrated with company financials, by supporting the Accounts Payable and Receivable systems as well as the payroll and tax software systems. More recently, Nancy worked as the Technical Liaison at Schiesher Elementary School in Lisle School District 202. Nancy is an active member of her church and has volunteered for a number of years in the St. Joan of Arc Religious Education program. She received both her B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from DePaul University in Chicago.
