Meet Our Residents

 

Anita Bhardwaj, M.D., graduated from a six-year program at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Bhardwaj speaks some Spanish (conversational and written), Hindi and Punjabi. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Bhardwaj enjoys dancing, yoga, transcendental meditation, ayurveda & alternative medicine.

 

 

 

 

Jo Ann Lagman, M.D., is a graduate of the University of The East in the Philippines. She is fluent in Tagalog and Hiligaynon. Prior to coming to the residency, Dr. Lagman was doing cancer research at the University of Illinois in Chicago and teaching for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. She enjoys playing the piano and violin.

 

 

 

 

Dionna Pendleton, M.D., is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and is an alumni of Northern Illinois University. Dr. Pendleton has a definite mission in medicine to help the underserved, which has been an unwavering passion. When time allows, Dr. Pendleton attends musical plays, plays volleyball and softball. She is the oldest of five siblings and has a beautiful 4-year daughter.  When away from work, Dr. Pendleton loves to spend quality time with her daughter.

 

 

 

Elham Yousef, M.D., graduated from the University of Asyut in Egypt. Dr. Yousef completed a Nephrology fellowship and has a master degree in medicine. After getting married, Dr. Yousef moved to the United States with her husband Adel. Dr. Yousef is the Director of the Medical Coroner of the Spirit magazine for diverse woman. When Dr. Yousef is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two sons.

 

 

 

Radka Angelova, M.D., is a graduate from Medical University Sofia in Bulgaria. Dr. Angelova speaks Bulgarian and Russian. She enjoys traveling, gardening, camping and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

Aaron Brinkman, M.D., is a Rush Medical College graduate. Dr. Brinkman is fluent in Spanish and his interests include soccer, travel, literature, chess, films and physical fitness. When time permits, Dr. Brinkman enjoys walking dogs at a local humane society.

 

 

 

 

Konstantin Bukov, M.D., graduated from Medical Faculty at Trakia University in Bulgaria. Before coming to the United States with his family, Dr. Bukov worked as a primary care physician in Bulgaria. Dr. Bukov is fluent in Bulgarian and Russian. He enjoys music, tennis, and basketball.

 

 

 

 

Yubelkis Tinoco, M.D., is a graduate of Universidad Central de Venezuela – Jose Maria Vargas in Venezuela. After completing a residency in general surgery, she worked nine years before immigrating to America with her husband and children. Dr. Tinoco enjoys reading, organ playing, and fitness activities.

 

 

 

 

Rumyana Atanasova, M.D. , is a graduate of Medical University Sofia in Bulgaria. She enjoys reading, traveling and physical fitness. She plans on practicing in Florida once she graduates from the Rush-Copley Family Medicine Residency Program.

 

 

 

 

Halyna Boryslavksa, M.D., is a graduate of Ivanovo-Frankov State Medical Academy in the Ukraine. Dr. Boryslavksa is the Director of a charitable organization in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village, which supports the poor and underprivileged children, and adults in the Ukraine. In her spare time, Dr. Broyslavska enjoys skiing, playing the piano, embroidery and spending time with her husband and daughter.

 

 

 

 

Savitha Manickam, M.D., is a graduate of Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in India. After getting married, Dr. Manickam came to the United States with her husband in 2002.  When not chasing her 2-year-old daughter, Savitha enjoys traveling, playing chess, listening to music, badminton and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

 

 

Chiragi Shah, M.D., is a graduate of NHLM Medical College/Gujarat University in India. Dr. Shah practiced in Obstetrics & Gynecology before coming to the United States. She is married and has 2 children, a boy and a girl. Her hobbies include yoga, vegetarian cooking and shopping.
