Neonatal Services/Hospital Acquired Surgical Site Infection Rate

Infections per 100 clean surgical cases

Why is this important?  As a newly designated Level III Perinatal Facility, the Neonatal Surgical Program is in it's infancy. Providing clinical excellence not only in the perioperative period, but throughout the entire stay will aid in the prevention of complications such as surgical site infections. Proper wound care promotes healing of incisions and minimizes scaring while preventing other complications which may result in a prolonged length of hospital stay.

How do we compare? BETTER than the hospital target.
