Heart Attack Care/Beta Blockers at Arrival

Percent of heart attack patients who are prescribed a beta blocker within 24 hours of hospital arrival

Why is this important?  Beta blockers can improve survival for heart attack patients by slowing the heart rate and reducing the force by which the heart muscle contracts to pump blood. These medications lower blood pressure, treat chest pain and heart failure and help to prevent future heart attack.

How do we compare?   BETTER than the national average.
