Information for Visitors

Rush-Copley welcomes visitors to the hospital.  Here's some information that may be helpful.

Visiting Guidelines

As a place of healing, we believe that patients need a restful, quiet environment.  Yet, we also recognize the very important role that loved ones play in their recovery.  Therefore, our general visiting hours are open.  However, children under the age of six are not encouraged to visit, and an adult who will oversee their safety while here, must accompany those ages six through 12.  Guests who may be ill, with symptoms such as coughing, fever, or sore throat, are kindly asked not to visit patients due to risk of spreading infection and compromising care.  Patients in our Intensive Care Unit are permitted only 2 visitors at a time.

Visitor Dining

Rush-Copley's lovely dining area, the Waterfront Cafe, is located on the ground level of the hospital and features daily hot entrees, a deli, salad and soup bar, desserts, hot and cold drinks, juice, snacks and much more.  It's a nice place to take a break and enjoy a healthy meal.

Meal service hours:

Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Waterfront Cafe Menu

Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Information Desk

Rush-Copley staff and volunteers are prepared to answer your questions from our 24-hour information desk located near the Main Entrance.

Cell Phones

You may use cell phones at Rush-Copley.  However, we do ask that you use discretion while discussing private matters concerning a patient in public areas such as waiting rooms.  For the best reception, however, we recommend conducting your calls on one of the patios or outside one of the hospital entrances.

No Smoking, Please

Due to the health concerns of our community, patients and staff, smoking is not permitted while at Rush-Copley Medical Center.  The entire campus including all entrances and outdoor areas are also smoke free. If you must smoke while accompanying a patient, please smoke only in your vehicle.  We appreciate your compliance with our smoke free environment.
