Rush-Copley Hosts International Healthcare Council
(Aurora, Ill.) – Joint Commission International recently selected Rush-Copley to host visitors from the Mexico Accreditation Council. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 15,000 healthcare organizations and programs in the United States. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the Joint Commission Accreditation process.
“The visit by the Mexican Accreditation Council offers Rush-Copley an excellent performance review, ensuring that our daily processes mirror the standards set by the Joint Commission and other certifying bodies,” said Barry C. The visitors, 20 representatives from the Mexican Accreditation Council, spent a day with the hospital’s staff learning how the staff remains regulatory ready at all times and how a typical survey is conducted. The visitors toured Rush-Copley’s ICU, ER, Medical/Surgical and Mother/Baby units.
