While receiving a chemo treatment at Rush-Copley, Tammy Cooper-White received a gift that was small, but touched her in a special way.

A canvas bag that contained water, cookies, writing utensils, paper, candy and a puzzle book was presented to Tammy while receiving a chemo treatment at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.  The bags were a donation from the 7th grade confirmation group from St. John Lutheran Church in Joliet.

Tammy and her friends were so moved by the gift that they decided to make their own to donate to patients at Rush-Copley.  The group, who calls themselves the bag ladies, made 36 canvas bags filled with goodies like water, snacks, candy and books, notepads and a warm fleece blanket.  The bags were distributed to patients in July.
