Stroke Care

Updated February 2, 2010

What can you do?

First, learn the symptoms of a stroke. If you think someone is experiencing a stroke, don’t hesitate. Go to the emergency room immediately. The first hour after the initial stroke symptoms occur is the most crucial to survival and reducing the degree of disability. Make sure the emergency personnel are fully informed of any medications the patient is taking.
