Rush-Copley Hosts Trauma Fundamentals Course
Rush-Copley will be hosting Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR), a two-day trauma fundamentals course.
Specifically designed for acute care, critical care and preoperative nurses, the live two day program give inpatients staff members the foundational, evidence-based information and critical thinking skills necessary to meet regulatory requirements and provide excellent care to the challenging patient population.
Part 1 - Participants focus on concepts relevant to the nursing care of the injured, hospitalized patient: the trauma care spectrum, the biomechanics of trauma, and the body's response to injury.
Part 2 - Learners apply information from Part 1 by participating in interactive expanding case scenarios that focus on admission to discharge care of patients with injuries to various body regions, Cases include the surgical, medical and nursing management of patients with: thoracic, abdominal, musculoskeletal, craniocerebral, and spin and spinal cord trauma.
