Rush-Copley to Host Cancer Survivors Day
(Aurora, Ill.) Rush-Copley is pleased to host a special celebration for survivors of cancer on Sunday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Blackberry Farm in Aurora. Rush-Copley’s annual event is part of a national celebration to honor cancer survivors and those who support them.
“Cancer Survivors Day is about celebrating life,” said Judi Bonomi, director of Cancer Care and inpatient nursing at Rush-Copley. “If you are a survivor this event provides a great opportunity to come together and recognize that life goes on after a cancer diagnosis – for many in a very full and vibrant way.”
Registration for Rush-Copley’s event will begin at 11 a.m., with official remarks and welcome starting at 1 p.m. Lunch and ice cream will be served and guests are free to explore the farm until it closes at 5 p.m. There will be entertainment, along with pony rides for kids, a carousel and train depot.
Registration is required for Rush-Copley’s Cancer Survivors Day. Survivors may bring one guest at no cost, and children two and under are free. Additional tickets may be purchased at a reduced rate of $4 each. To register, or for more information, please call 866-4COPLEY (1-866-426-7539).
