Deepak Patel, M.D., FAAFP, Authors Article for American Family Physician

(February 15, 2011) Deepak Patel, M.D., FAAFP, a Rush Copley Medical Group physician with Yorkville Primary Care, was the lead author with Neha Kapil, M.D., co-author, of Stress Fractures: Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention, in the January issue of American Family Physician.

Dr. Patel is a family and sports medicine physician with Yorkville Primary Care, a Rush Copley Medical group practice.  He also serves as Director of Sports Medicine, Rush Copley Family Medicine Residency and is an Assistant Professor at Rush Medical College in Chicago.

American Family Physician is a semi-monthly, peer-reviewed journal of the American Academy of Family Physicians.  It is the best-read journal in primary care, and has one of the largest circulations of any clinical medical journal (more than 190,000), including about 100,000 family physicians and general practitioners, 45,000 office-based internists, 10,000 family practice residents, and 20,000 medical students.
