Parkinson's Support Group Now Available at Rush-Copley

(January 25, 2011) Rita Tranquilli, M.D., a Psychiatrist and Neurologist from Alliance Clinical Associates in Wheaton, will present at Rush-Copley's Parkinson's Disease Support Group on Wednesday, February 2, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Fluctuations of non-motor symptoms are common in Parkinson's disease, but are often unrecognized unless a physician specifically asks about them.  These fluctuations can be manifested as severe mood swings in a Parkinson's patient.  Dr. Tranquilli will discuss these non-motor aspects of Parkinson's and provide tools for coping or alleviating symptoms.

The Parkinson's Disease Support Group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.  There is no cost to attend the support group and family members or care partners are welcome.  For more information, visit rushcopley.com or call 866-4COPLEY (1-866-426-7539).
