Amit Agarwal, M.D.

Amit Agarwal, M.D., is a graduate of Medical University of Lublin in Poland. Studying in a different country has helped him gain a different perspective towards patients.  Dr. Agarwal is fluent in Hindi and he enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as watching and playing sports.

Niraj Shah, M.D.

Niraj Shah, M.D., grew up in rural, Gujarat, India, and has lived mostly in the midwest for the past 14 years. He graduated from University of Michigan Engineering at Ann Arbor with B.S.E. in Computer Engineering, University of Toledo with B.S. in Biology, and Saint James School of Medicine with M.D. He speaks Gujarati, Hindi and minimal Sanskrit. He enjoys “Swadhayaya”, a socio-spiritual group, traveling (approximately 24 countries), yoga, cricket, and distance running. He has interests in traditional family medicine with special emphasis in preventive medicine. He enjoyed various medical missions in Dominican Republic and Honduras.

Naweed Chowdhury, M.D.

Naweed Chowdhury, M.D., grew up in nearby Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and received his medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine.  His interests in Family Medicine include sports medicine and preventive medicine. Dr. Chowdhury also has an understanding of the business aspects of medicine as he has an MBA with concentration in health care. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and playing sports, such as basketball and football. A Chicago Bears fan, he also enjoys watching the games with his friends.

Jothis Jose, M.D.

Jothis Jose, M.D., was born in Nigeria, grew up in South India, studied in Chicago and graduated from Saint James School of Medicine, Netherlands Antilles. His medical interests include geriatrics, urgent care and sports medicine. Dr. Jose is fluent in Malayalam, one of the south Indian languages. He enjoys playing cricket and badminton, exploring new things and spending time with family and friends.

Kay Khamvanthong, M.D.

Kay Khamvanthong, M.D., originally from Laos, grew up in northern California.  She graduated from the University of California at Davis with a biochemistry degree and then Attend Ross University.  Dr. Khamvanthong completed two years of surgical residency before joining Rush-Copley Family Medicine Residency.  She is fluent in Laos and Thai.  In her free time, she enjoys talking with her daughter who lives in California.

Rubi Malczewski, M.D.

Rubi Malczewski, M.D., is a graduate of Ross University. She grew up in Renton, Washington, and attended Seattle University where she studied biology.

Dr. Malczewski's interest in medicine stems from her childhood visits to India, where she witnessed the scarcity of healthcare first hand. In the future she plans to spend time overseas providing medical care to underserved populations.

She has wide interests in preventive medicine, urgent care, and obstetrics. Dr. Malczewski enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Anand Shah, M.D., a native of the Chicago suburbs, received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois. Dr. Shah is a graduate of Ross University and has special interests in preventive medicine and sports medicine. In his free time, he enjoys staying fit, playing sports, and tuning up cars.

Monica Deshmukh, M.D.

Monica Deshmukh, M.D. is a graduate of St. Matthews University.  She was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida, and received her undergraduate degree in Micro and Molecular Biology at the University of Central Florida.  Dr. Deshmukh’s interests in family medicine include urgent care and preventive medicine.  She believes patient health education is one of the main aspects of family medicine and enjoys communicating this with her patients.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, working out, and cooking.

Malini George, M.D.

Malini George, M.D., is a Connecticut native who received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from SUNY Albany and her medical degree from Ross University Medical School.

Having done mission work in Mexico and traveled to over thirty countries with her family, she learned that people’s cultures and traditions play a part in their perspective toward healthcare and healing.   She hopes her experiences help her have a better understanding of her patients and their needs. Dr. George  has interests in preventive medicine and urgent care.

In her spare time, she enjoys soccer, skiing, trying new recipes and finding reasons to laugh with her friends and family.

Matthew Malczewski, M.D.

Matthew Malczewski, M.D., grew up nearby in Northwest Indiana. He completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University in Central Indiana, and graduated from Ross University Medical School. His medical interests include preventive medicine, urgent care and sports medicine. In his free time, Dr. Malczewski enjoys working out, cooking, trying new restaurants and spending time with his wife and family.

Raj Shah, M.D. grew up in Niles, Illinois, and received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He graduated from the Medical University of the Americas. Dr. Shah has interest in sports medicine and preventive medicine. In his free time, he enjoys working out, traveling, and watching movies and sports.
