Community Health Needs Assessment Report
In 2013, Rush-Copley Medical Center completed a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment process to identify, prioritize, and develop strategies to address the top health issues in the community. During this process, the hospital took into account input from a number of people representing the broad interests of the community served. This was accomplished through collaborations with the Kane County and Kendall County Health Departments, community focus groups, and a community health survey.
The top health needs identified in the community include:
· Chronic disease prevention and management with a focus on diabetes
· Access to care with a focus on medication access
Over the next three years, the hospital will focus on implementing strategies to improve these areas of health and wellness in the community.
